CHRISTMAS 2006 - WE MADE IT ...ONCE AGAIN!!!
"Giving Sonrisas" was our 4th Christmas campaign for the children from Alecrim and Arenitas, who were able to enjoy and celebrate a cheerful Christmas Holiday. Through the collective effort of our donors and supporters we were able to raised $280 to purchase toys for our children. Santa Clause himself handed personally to each children their presents.

Similarly we received donations to put together 20 baskets (10 for each center) and 40 "Panetones" (sweetened bread) for their breakfast.

Each Christmas Basket included:

2 Tuna tins |

1 Panetón (Sweetened Bread) |

1kg. Rice |
2 90grms. tablets of chocolate |

1 lt. Oil |
1 box of tea or chamomille |

1 kg. Spaguetti |
1 shampoo (400 grms.) |

2 bags of Oatmeal |
3 Soap bars |

2 jars of Milk (1 lt.) |
3 toothpastes |
|
2 bags of Stew (500 grms.) |
4 toothbrushes |

Candy |
1 jar of Marmalade |

10 packs of instant juice |
and all these in a Basket! |

Following are samples of the gifts the children received.
The youngest received House or a Dino with pieces to fit in. Young girls from 3-5 years old got Barbie-like doll
and boy of similar age received Cars.
