Mission
Through this organization and the program Sonrisas, we are committed to take action against the situation of extreme poverty in which many children live in our country. We aim to have a positive impact on the lives of many Peruvian children and their families, by improving the quality of their present and future lives.

Goal
The goal of the program Sonrisas is to provide basic nourishment, health and education to children under 6 years of age living in extreme poverty, through the development of a strong link between the donor (“godfather” or “godmother”) and the child in need (“godson” or “goddaughter”); this direct and personalized link creates in the godparents a greater sense of responsibility for their respective godchildren.

Sonrisas Perú
It is a private non-profit entity established in March 2003 by Patricia Benavides and Alberto De-Losada. It has offices located in Triana # 225, Miraflores. Lima, Peru; Tlf/fax (511) 441-3759. Erika Ormeño (Administrative Assistant)

Board of Directors: Alberto De-Losada (President), Patricia Benavides (Director), Tessy León Roca (Director), Gonzalo De-Losada (Vice-President).

Advisory Board: Amongst its Collaborative and Consultant members are Pedro Visconti and Enrique Novak.

Corporate Sponsors
This program allows us to fund and cover all operating costs related to the organization, thus avoiding any impact or deviating any resources coming from our sponsors' pledges, which are kept intact targeting its promary objective: Our kids assisting to the nursery centers we support

Sonrisas Perú is the owner of each of the projects that form part of the program Sonrisas (Fight against Extreme Poverty, Special Donations, among others); Sonrisas Perú is autonomous and independent of private interest, and as such, is responsible for the future and development of the program Sonrisas.

The funds raised through the program Sonrisas will be solely allocated to the development and implementation of the projects approved by the Board of Directors of Sonrisas Perú. This program can not be used, changed, or copied without previous written authorization from the Board of Directors.

The members of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board of Sonrisas Perú work as volunteers and do not receive salaries or any compensation for such role derived from the donations received from the sponsors of Sonrisas Perú.
